There are many different Kiriki stuffy animals to choose from in 3 stitching levels. 1 is good for beginners, 2 intermediate, and the level three kits are more complex stitching.
I can say from experience that toddlers love these stuffie animals and will carry them around firmly clutched in their little hands. I think it's the small size that appeals to them so much. But if you don't have any small children for an excuse to make one, stitch one anyway. They are a satisfying project :-)
