The one example in these photos is one of the Kugurizashi designs, but the traditional sashiko samplers are just as beautiful for this. (Tip: I lined the sashiko sampler with a lightweight cotton fabric to give the pocket more stability. Also, I hand sewed the pocket on and the side seams closed - you don't have to have a machine :-))
