You can open this sashiko cushion cover kit and and start stitching. The navy medium weight cotton fabric is printed with wash out ink and has already been sewn into an envelope style cushion cover.
You don't use a hoop for sashiko stitching so it is easy to put your hand inside the cushion opening while you do your stitching.
When you have finished the stitching a short soak and rinse in warm water will remove the printed pattern completely and you will be left with your Sashiko stitched cushion cover, sewn up and ready to use.
This kit is from Olympus Japan. The sewing of the cover and the quality of the fabric are high.

A note: This kit comes with a thicker than usual Sashiko thread. Sashiko is intended to be used as it is. However, if you find this thread too difficult to pull through the fabric, it is possible to pull some thin strands out it to make it thinner.
