Japanese Wagara Fabric
This collection contains traditional Japanese patterns printed on quality cotton fabrics, manufactured in Japan, called wagara fabrics. Wa meaning “Japanese-style” and "gara" meaning pattern, this word translates into "cloth decorated with patterns that are particular to Japan." They are sometimes called Kimono Cloth because they were often used to make kimonos as well as other household items.
The wagara fabrics in this collection have the appearance and texture of the traditional Japanese fabrics. They are made from high quality 100% cotton fibre, pre-shrunk, colourfast, machine washable fabrics. Suitable for hand and/or machine sewing projects.
