Visible Mending Starter Kit: Japanese Print Fabrics, sashiko thread & sashiko needle pack. This kit contains only the basic things you need to mend your woven cotton fabrics.
Here is what I chose for the kit and why:
- There is 65+ grams of approx 3" to 5" hand cut pieces of woven Japanese print cotton fabrics. (about 26 pieces).These are a light to middle weight cottons suitable for your jeans, jackets, work shirts or any good woven garment or house hold linen.
- 30 meters of off white sashiko thread which will show off your stitching.
- And a pack of Clover sashiko needles. I picked this pack because it gives you 4 needle sizes with varying size eyes so you can find what works best for you and your fabric.
These fabrics are colourfast, machine wash and dry, with no noticeable shrink. You don't need to pre-wash. The texture and quality of the fabrics will be the same as shown here, colours and prints may vary a little.
